Introduction

The FMM Malaysian Industrial Gases Manufacturers Group (FMM MIGMA) is an industry group under the aegis of the Federation of Malaysian Manufacturing (FMM). Currently, members of FMM MIGMA comprise major industrial gases manufacturers and most of them are affiliated with global gas manufacturers.

Members of FMM MIGMA manufacture industrial gases such as oxygen, nitrogen, acetylene and carbon dioxide, medical gases and specialty gases. Since its inception in 1999, FMM MIGMA has been promoting co-operation amongst Malaysian industrial gases manufacturers and to serve as channel of communication between the industrial gases industry and the Government on matters of particular concern and interest to the industry.

Objectives

• To consult on areas of common interest and promote co-operation amongst the industrial gases manufacturers in Malaysia
• To establish standards of operation and production and related facilities in all areas, thereby increasing all aspects of health, safety and environmental controls associated with the industry, customers and the general public
• To seek to establish a common industry position on existing or proposed legislation affecting the industry
• To further the interests of members by establishing and maintaining an effective liaison with:
  • Government and Government agencies
  • Non-government organizations and other interested representative bodies within Malaysia
  • ASEAN Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ASEAN-CCI), and other relevant organizations outside Malaysia
