Introduction

The FMM Aluminium Manufacturers Group Malaysia (FMM AMGM) was formed on October 31, 1991 under the aegis of the Federation of Malaysian Manufacturing (formerly known as Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers) to represent the interest of the manufacturers in the aluminium industry.

Objectives

To consult on areas of common interest and maintain close cooperation among members to further advance the interest of aluminium industry in Malaysia
To promote the development of the aluminium industry in Malaysia by formulating recommendations on investment and export incentives, market protection and other measures
To further the interests of members by establishing and maintaining an effective liaison with:
- The Government and Government agencies
- Non-governmental organisations and other interested representative bodies within Malaysia
- Asean Chamber of Commerce and Industry and other relevant organisations outside Malaysia
To compile and disseminate information of common concern and to provide facilities for consultation and exchange of views between members
To stimulate a wider and greater use of aluminium products in Malaysia
To promote the establishment of aluminium product standards in Malaysia
To encourage the establishment and extension of training programmes for all categories of Malaysian personnel employed in the aluminium industry in Malaysia
