Introduction

The Malaysian Coating Resins and Composite Group (MCRCG) is a product-group of the Chemical Industries Council of Malaysia (CICM). Its members are involved in the manufacturing of coating and composite resins and represent more than 80% of the market share in Malaysia.

Objectives

• To promote co-operation and co-ordination amongst coating and composite resins manufacturers in Malaysia
• To represent the interest of the Malaysian coating and composite resins industry in Malaysia and as a forum to promote discussion and exchange of views on issues of common concern to the industry and also ASEAN issues (including regional grouping, market expansion, trade related matters, etc.)
• To liaise and to forward the Group's views to the Government and regulatory bodies on matters affecting the industry and to initiate the most conducive environment for the overall operation of the coating and composite resins industry in Malaysia
• To engage and co-operate with any Association and stakeholders on common objectives / interest to facilitate the development of the coating and composite resins industry of Malaysia
• To accord industry's practices to responsible management of industrial health, safety, environment and security according to the Responsible Care Programme's Guiding Principles and Codes of Management Practices
• To disseminate correct information and to project a positive image of the sector as a safe industry managed by responsible stakeholders
